The Minister for Health should grow up

There’s so much dysfunction in our society right now that it may be difficult to filter out the disinformation and the infantile bickering. The Minister for Health, Joe Etienne Abela is resting on a Magisterial Inquiry by Joe Mifsud that states that health professionals did nothing wrong with regards to Stephen Mangion. Stephen Mangion died at the Emergency Ward awaiting treatment after having reported chest pain at a local clinic. He was sent to the Emergency Ward at the main hospital by himself.

Now, the Minister is attacking those who called for a Magisterial Inquiry.

This issue was never an attack against health professionals and whoever is trying to manipulate it in this way is spreading disinformation. Magisterial Inquiries are not necessary a process to investigate criminals, they are also an activity that can constructively expose what is wrong with many things with the application of law and legal processes. There is no witch hunt here except in the paranoid mind of Labour.

I still have to read the Magisterial Inquiry by Joe Mifsud, but to put some context, this Magistrate was demoted from his Court Room to an Inquiring Magistrate for his constant women-hating comments and ridiculous sentences. Instead of being impeached, he was removed as an Inquiring Magistrate, and now he is apparently using these inquiries for partisan purposes.

  2. A magisterial inquiry report by Joe Mifsud? Not even going to bother reading that.
