What’s up with the logo of the Malta Developers Association? It looks like the pattern of the socks my grandma use to give me for Christmas.
In any case, the MDA seems to be acting like the adult in the room in contrast to the more self-interested Malta Chamber of Commerce.
The MDA is actually proposing an increase in the minimum wage. They are also asking for subsidies to buy ‘greener’ machinery. The government has already provided such subsidies and should not entertain any further requests for free money from these scroungers and parasites. However, their tax reform proposals don’t sound bad either. Increasing the tax rate for foreign companies and reducing it for local companies to offset the difference is a good idea, even if the gap isn’t fully closed.
This may be the their first step to wash their reputation a bit after literally burying us in cheap and ugly concrete buildings and basically taking over our political class. They’re still the biggest problem in our local politics having captured political parties with their donations.
