Neville Curmi of Curmi & Partners sold unwitting clients debt to bail-out out a distressed business and property speculator in the UK called Hart Capital. It is supposedly owned by a man called Christon Jon Burrows, but he seems to be just a front for a least 64 companies listed on the UK business register. The other Maltese director with him is Alex Tanti.
Apparently, Hart Capital is trying to build 8 apartments in London, Croydon area and there are several applications for this project which have been approved according to the planning history, with the latest one amending some conditions being rejected.
The property in mention was bought for £1.5 million in 2019, and last year Curmi & Partners issued up to €3 million in debt at 7.5% on the Malta Stock Exchange for the company, to be offered as a short-term loan for this project, however the company already has up to in €1 million in debts before the project has even started, and the bonds are also meant to pay the creditor, all according to Curmi & Partners’ filing with the Malta Stock Exchange. on behalf of Hart Capital Partners (Europe).
If they sell the property in question, there is of course no guarantee they will get the back back and the date of the appeal for the application process has not been announced yet, but they are planning to build eight flats out of this building.
Neville Curmi has in the habit of entering into shady deals and being in contact with Joseph Muscat such as in the case of the Café Premier. Jungle projects on the MSE: exporting the best from Malta.
