Kais Saied was elected President of Tunisia of 2019 with the promises of anti-corruption and economic stability but five years later, Kais Saied has built a centralised and authoritarian government with an economy still stagnating and people facing ever more challenges. The European Union has propped up President Kais Saeid with a €100 million deal in exchange for halting illegal immigration to Europe.
