Syrian dissidents and refugees in Lebanon have become the official scapegoats for both Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army

The Lebanese Army and security forces are arresting Syrian refugees dissidents and refugees in Lebanon accusing them of being Mossad spies and handing over information to Israel about Hezbollah. These arrests are coming after a wave of scapegoating via rumors by Al-Jazeera (Arabic) and Hezbollah about Syrian refugees being Mossad spies. Syrian refugees have also been recorded to have been beaten and harassed by Hezbollah thugs following the liquidation of its top command by the Israeli Defence Forces.

On the other hand, there is wide consensus with military personnel and independent intelligence contractors analysing the current war in Lebanon, that the likeliest source for the Israeli intelligence is the Lebanese Army itself along with other regular Lebanese security authorities.

Al Jazeera anchorman Jamal Rayyan accusing Syrian refugees in Lebanon of giving aaway Hasan Nasrallah’s location to Israel.
