Despite the fact that Joseph Muscat has (supposedly) all his assets frozen (he could still take his friends on holiday to The Bahamas), his wife, Michelle Muscat is still business as usual. She is also running The Marigold Foundation, which incredibly, is still a thing despite the fact that her husband is currently charged in court with embezzlement of public funds and money laundering. Apparently, no one finds it problematic that the wife of a major fraudster and money-laundering is running a charitable foundation.
There are even still those who give free stuff to the Muscats, such as The Burmarrad Group: a vehicle leasing company who donated a van to The Marigold Foundation for “oncology services in the community”. The irony here is the fact that Michelle Muscat’s husband, ex-premier Joseph Muscat, is currently being charged in court for corruption and fraud over the national health service.
The Public Broadcaster published the news just like Super One did.
Maybe, if the Muscats would like to do charity, they can start by giving all the money back they stole from the public purse.
