Pressure by the Ministry of Home Affairs to delay an Ombudsman investigation on Yorgen Fenech’s prison conditions

I have been informed from one my sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs that the Ministry is pressuring the Office of the Ombudsman to delay an investigation regarding Yorgen Fenech’s prison conditions. A report submitted to the Ombudsman flagged irregularities in Yorgen Fenech’s alleged prison privileges.

The case also revolves around Svetlana Muscat, a previous prison official who was suspended and is currently under Police investigation for introducing Yorgen Fenech with a gas distributor inside her administrative office.

The Ministry is also citing a pending internal investigation into the case of Sveltana Muscat to the Office of the Ombudsman as one of the reasons for the advised delay.
