Real Madrid came from behind to thrash Borussia Dortmund after having gone 2-0 down in the space of just a few minutes. However it was hat trick hero Vinicius Junior who showed the mettle of what he was made of with a superb hat trick that pulverized the German sides, once again.
Madrid had gone into the dressing room 2-0 down, goals from Donyell Malen and the Reading-born Jamie Bynoe-Gittens giving Dortmund a lead they deserved. But their resurgence in the second half was truly remarkable.
An incredible comeback
Madrid went from 2-0 down to 2-2 in 103 seconds, the goals scored by Antonio Rรผdiger and Vinรญcius. Then Lucas Vรกzquez put them into the lead with seven minutes left, and less than one minute after Thibaut Courtois had saved them from trailing again. Finally Vinรญcius produced two stunning goals to make it 5-2 on the night.

In truth, it did seem that Dortmund might have weathered the worst of the storm; in fact, they could actually have won this.
