Early this morning, around 7:00 am, a traffic accident occurred on Triq l-Iskola in Siggiewi, according to police reports.
Preliminary investigations by responding officers revealed that the incident involved a collision between a Mazda Demio, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Birkirkara, and a Maruti Gypsy, driven by a 25-year-old man, also from Birkirkara.
The woman was assisted by a medical team on-site and transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
