Donald Trump claims election fraud in Philadelphia city despite currently leading in the vote count

Vote counting for the U.S. presidential election is still underway in many states, with Donald Trump currently in the lead, yet he is already making unsubstantiated claims of election fraud. On his social media platform Truth Social, Donald Trump has claimed there has been election cheating in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is the biggest city in the key swing-state of Pennsylvania.

In the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump lost and claimed election fraud: claims that were later proven to be false. His claims prompted his supporters to storm the United States Capitol Building which houses the US Congress.

Vote counting is underway in many states, with initial results showing Donald Trump leading with 51.5% of the popular vote and 230 electoral votes, compared to Kamala Harris’s 187.
