Michael and Maureen Zammit Tabona send denials and threats, but press reports tell a different story

UPDATED: I’ve been in touch with Michael Zammit Tabona and he denied the Times of Malta Story as well. I told him that it is strange that he is only now denying connections to the establishment, years after the article was published it. Then he admitted to owning the establishment in a comment he posted below. He also admitted to applying for table-covers in the middle of the square and said that this was “in order”.

Michael Zammit Tabona sent me denials about this story. He denied owning the establishment. Maureen Zammit Tabona (who I suppose is his wife) sent threats which I did not publish.

I sent Michael Zammit Tabona an email asking him about his businesses in Naxxar’s square, and he sent a similar email with a simple denial and another threat apart from some expletives.

What he did not mention in his denials is that Michael Zammit Tabona did actually get permits for table-covers in Naxxar square without the approval of the Local Council according to previous press reports. The catering establishment “L’altra Cantina” was previously named “Cicchetti” and the Times of Malta reportedย on the case a while back.
