Police investigations led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Macedonian man on charges of aggravated possession of cocaine.
The arrest took place on Friday evening at around 9:00 pm, during a police surveillance operation in St Julian’s. The suspect was spotted on Triq il-Wilġa and apprehended immediately.
A search conducted on the man uncovered around 62 packets of what is believed to be cocaine. Further searches at his residence in St Paul’s Bay and inside his vehicle led to the discovery of additional drug-related items.
The man is expected to appear in court today at 10:30 am before Magistrate Kevan Azzopardi.
