A woman was taken to hospital earlier this morning after another bad traffic accident, this time in Rabat. According to sources, the woman driver crashed into an electricity pole in Triq Gherixiem around 10ย a.m. The pole collapsed onto the street in the incident. It also appearsย that she lost control of her vehicle. Emergency services extricated the woman from the car with some difficulty. Her condition is not yet known although she seemed to be conscious when stretchered away.

This recent accident is already the fourth this week with the worst one by far being last Monday’s when 25-year-old Alejandro Brincat lost his life. It appears that Brincat had his car impounded and that the vehicle he was driving, a Mercedes, was not his. In another accident on Monday night in Fgura, two Nepalese women were hit after disembarking fromย  a bus with one of them in danger of dying.
