25-year-old man from Mtarfa dies in Attard traffic accident

A 25-year-old man from Mtarfa died in a tragic traffic accident late last night in Attard.

The accident occurred in Triq l-Imdina at around 9:20 pm. Preliminary investigations showed that the victim was driving a Mercedes and lost control of the vehicle. The car hit a tree and finally came to a stop against a metal structure.

Emergency services, including police officers, medical teams from Mater Dei Hospital, and the Civil Protection Department, were immediately on site. The driver was pronounced dead on site.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia, has launched an inquiry assisted by various experts, while a police investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
