A recently published academic study backed with extensive evidence has reveled that the majority of civilian deaths in the war in Sudan in 2024 were caused by the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed). The RSF, who are sponsored by the United Arab Emirates with money and weapons, are conducting a genocidal and sectarian war in Sudan.
The study, published by Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED), revealed that up to 1300 civilians were killed last year by the Rapid Support Forces and another 200 civilians were killed by the government Sudanese Armed Forces. Most of these deaths occurred in Al-Jazirah, Khartoum and North Darfur. The RSF went on a killing spree in Al-Jazirah following setbacks on the battlefield. Many women committed suicide in Al-Jazirah in order to avoid capture by the RSF and nine women in Al-Jazirah have recently had abortions after having been raped by RSF terrorists.
The RSF are currently losing territory to the Sudanese Armed Forces in a nation-wide offensive against them, which is also being supported by many ordinary civilians taking up arms against RSF.
