A 24-year-old woman is in danger of losing her life while another 34-year-old is injured, following a traffic accident on Triq Hompesh, Fgura, yesterday at around 8:00 pm.
Initial investigations revealed that the women, both from Nepal, were hit by a Toyota Hilux driven by a 20-year-old woman from Birżebbuġa. Emergency medical teams provided immediate assistance on-site before transporting the victims to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
The 24-year-old woman was later certified as in danger of dying, while the 34-year-old was reported to have sustained grievous injuries.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia, has been informed of the case and opened an inquiry, while police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
