Update: 24-year-old Gauri Kumari Baral tragically dies following Fgura traffic accident

The 24-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car in Fgura is Gauri Kumari Baral.

Her death was announced by the Non-Resident Nepali Association, NRNA, Malta. It said the incident has sent shockwaves among the Nepalese people living in Malta and Gozo.

The accident took place on 6th January when the 24-year old Baral from Nepal and another woman aged 34, were hit by a Toyota Hilux driven by a 20-year-old woman from Birลผebbuฤกa.

Baral was taken in critical condition to Mater Dei Hospital and this afternoon she succumbed to her injuries.

The 34-year-old Nepalese woman sustained grievous injuries and survived.

The incident is under a magisterial inquiry by Magistrate Ian Farrugia, along with ongoing police investigations.
