A record number of 3.593 million tourists visited Malta in 2024, marking a 19% increase over 2023.
Tourism expenditure was also up by 23% over 2023. Results were presented at the National Tourism Conference by Malta Tourism Authority CEO Carlo Micallef.
Newly appointed MTA Chairperson Charles Mangion was also in attendance. Speaking on the sidelines to The Maltese Herald, the former PL Deputy Leader said that he successfully convinced the Opposition to vote for his nomination.
