Earlier this morning, at around 3:00 am, the police were alerted to a robbery at a convenience store on Triq San Pawl in Bormla.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a man wearing a hoodie, allegedly armed with a knife, entered the store and demanded cash from the cashier, a 30-year-old woman. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene.
No injuries were reported, and the police have launched a search for the suspect. Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has appointed an inquiry into the incident.
Investigations are still ongoing.
