Bank of Valletta’s stock price opens the week at €2 per share

Bank of Valletta’s stock price has soared to €2 per share last week and has remained at this level during this morning’s market open at the Malta Stock Exchange.

The bank’s stock price had an impressive run  since it bottomed in May 2022 at around €0.75 per share, making a return of 167% from the bottom. The stock price rose as the bank posted record earnings and profits whilst increasing its cash base, loan book and investments. Bank of Valletta also announced share buybacks last year. The stock price of HSBC Malta also rose by 97% in the same period, whilst also  posting improved earnings.

Bank of Valletta is expected to release its annual report for 2024 on 27th March.
