Hamrun Handball Club has been crowned the 2024/25 Senior Men’s Championship winners after a dominant 44-19 victory over Haz-Zebbug Handball Club. This emphatic win secured their place at the top of the Championship League standings, finishing the season with an impressive record of seven wins and just one defeat across two rounds.
This triumph marks Hamrun’s third consecutive championship title, further solidifying their dominance in local handball. It is also the fourth championship in the club’s history, a testament to their consistency and strength in recent years. With a well-balanced squad and strong performances throughout the campaign, Hamrun continues to set the benchmark in Maltese handball.
Their campaign in the 2024/25 Championship League started with an undefeated run in the first round, finishing on top with 8 points. Their strong form continued into the second round, only coming short in Game 7 against
Valletta Handball Club finishing 32:29. They ended their title-winning season with 14 points.
This Championship marks the team’s 3rd consecutive Championship title and the 4th in their history. They now face familiar opponents Valletta HC in the Louis Borg Cup on Wednesday 2nd April at 20:30 at the Tal-Qroqq University
