A 47-year-old man was hospitalised with serious injuries early this morning after being hit by a car in Misraħ tal-Madonna Medjatrici, Żabbar.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 am when the police were alerted to the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man, a Żabbar resident, was struck by a Peugeot 107 driven by a 20-year-old woman from Qormi.
A medical team was called to the scene, and the injured man was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
