A 53-year-old Moroccan man residing in St. Paul’s Bay is in danger of dying after he was seriously injured while working at a building undergoing renovation in Tal-Pietà.
The incident occurred at around 1:00 pm on Friday on Triq San Luqa. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, where a medical team provided first aid before transporting the man to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
Medical professionals later certified that the man had sustained serious injuries and is currently in critical condition, with his life at risk.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and are being led by the police in collaboration with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
