Tether announced yesterday that it holds a shareholding of up to 10% in Juventus Football Club. The announcement follows a previous announcement in which Tether disclosed a shareholding in Juventus.
According to a disclosure made by Juventus last month, Tether had owned up to 8.2% of the club’s shares by the end of 2024.
Juventus is the most successful Italian football club ion history in terms league wins and was founded in 1897 and it is based in Turin. The Agnelli family hold a 64% stake in the club through their company Exor.
Tether is the issuer of the largest US dollar stablecoin in the crypto market, with its stablecoin, USDT, having an alleged market capitalisation of up to $146 billion at the time of writing.
