AI as a socialist tool for delabourisation

I enjoyed listening to Jon Mallia’s latest podcast with Gege Gatt on “Artificial Intelligence”  (AI), and he comes out as very intelligent. He says that AI can help reform the government by cutting manual processes in bureaucracy especially in the public sector, effectively making working in bureaucracy more humane. The discussion was also very informative and educational, without much hype and fantasies that AI is some kind of magic tool which will solve all of humanity’s problems.

Jon Mallia’s podcast remains a breath of fresh air as we consume the deluge of Labour government propaganda.

Gege Gatt comes across as very intelligent, which is refreshing to see in Maltese media, given that local media has recently been awash with cringe-worthy, ingratiating shows featuring political figures of surprisingly low intelligence. He’s also exactly the type of individual that PN needs right now for its general elections, in contrast to its current line-up of youthful loony rightists.

If he goes into politics, the Labour Party will surely renew Labour’s PTSD over its years in Opposition: he’s the son of Austin Gatt, who back then, was as hated as Jason Azzopardi is today, but not for the wrong reasons. Austin Gatt was responsible for many scandals and potential wide-scale corruption including the Trafigura-TOTSA-oil-scandal. Gege Gatt appears to be an intelligent person with an IT company in London, and sons are not necessarily defined by their fathers either, so it would not be objective or fair to judge him at face value based on who his father is.

I believe that dynastic politics is unmeritocratic in principle and theory, but the PN is currently getting the worse end of the bargain from Malta’s young liberal and right-wing youth, so clearly, I am wrong in this case. The Nationalist Party would squarely and surely win a general election if it is fronted by a group of youths like Gege Gatt. Where are they? Best PN can offer is Gozo Jesus.

Gege often visits his dad in Tuscan villa. He is very careful not to post anything on Instagram that can reveal its location. How / Who paid for your villa Aust ?
