The National Individual Snooker Championships for the 2024/2025 season continued on Thursday, 25th April, at the Malta Snooker Academy, with important matches taking place across multiple divisions as the competitions head towards their decisive stages.
CE Installations Premier Division – Relegation Play-Off
In the Premier Division relegation play-off, Ivan Attard produced a dominant display to comfortably defeat Jean Pierre Woods 4-0. Attard’s clean sweep secures his place in the top division for next season, while Woods faces relegation after a tough afternoon where he struggled to gain any foothold.
2nd Division – Quarter-Final Play-Off
In a tightly contested battle, Caiden Casha edged past David Farrugia 3-2 in the 2nd Division quarter-final play-off. Both players fought hard, with the match going down to a decisive fifth frame. Casha’s composure under pressure sees him advance to the semi-finals as he continues his quest for promotion.
3rd Division – Last 16
In the 3rd Division Last 16 round, Matthias Debono produced an impressive performance to defeat Christian Joseph Agius 3-0. Debono dominated from start to finish, booking his place in the quarter-finals in commanding style.
Masters – Last 16
In the Masters category, Clayton Goodrum cruised into the quarter-finals with a convincing 3-0 victory over David Zammit. Goodrum, who also competes in the Premier Division, showed his class once again, maintaining focus throughout to seal his progression.
