A 53-year-old man from Msida was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday morning at around 10 am. The incident took place at the intersection of L. Zamenhof Street and Xmiexi Street in Msida.
Initial investigations revealed that the man was hit by a Ford Transit van driven by a 24-year-old man, also a resident of Msida.
Emergency medical teams responded promptly, providing first aid on the scene before transporting the injured man to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
