A 32-year-old woman from Għajnsielem, was seriously injured on Wednesday at around 10:15 am, in a traffic accident on Żabbar Road, Fgura.
Initial police investigations revealed that the woman was hit by a Ford Fiesta driven by a 78-year-old man from Marsaskala.
She was given medical assistance on site and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
