Tuesday at around 11:15 am, police were informed of a traffic accident on Triq l-Imġarr in Għajnsielem.
Officers responded immediately and, according to preliminary investigations, the collision involved a Kia Picanto driven by a 41-year-old Italian man and a Honda motorcycle ridden by a 70-year-old man from Xewkija.
A medical team was dispatched to the scene, and the elderly motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
