Bernard Grech to stay on as Nationalist Party Leader

Bernard Grech has reiterated that he will be staying on as Leader of the Nationalist Party following claims by Prime Minister Robert Abela that the Nationalist Party could potentially change its leader before the next general election in 2027. The Opposition Leader reaffirmed his position in responses to various journalists who questioned him on the matter. The Opposition Leader is also defending his position over granting Maltese citizenship to foreign investors.ย Bernard Grech is also reiterated that the Nationalist Party is united.

We have yet to see what solutions or strategy the Opposition Leader will propose to unite a sizable portion of the electorate in order to win the upcoming elections. Remaining as Opposition Leader under the current conditions, while the Labour Party maintains a wide lead over the Nationalist Party is not generating much support for the Nationalist Party. Bernard Grech needs to find solutions and hope should not be an option for him.
