Gianluca Chetcuti emerged victorious in the MSSF Trap Competition 75 (2-2025) held on Sunday at the Malta National Shooting Ranges, overcoming tough competition in both the qualification round and final to secure the top spot.
This prestigious event, organized by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation (MSSF), featured a 75-target qualification round followed by a 25-target final shot in single-shot format. The competition brought together top Maltese shooters across three classes, providing a platform for precision, consistency, and nerves of steel.
Tight Qualification Round
The qualification phase was fiercely contested, with Ryan Bugeja topping the scoreboard after hitting an impressive 68 out of 75 targets, narrowly edging out Gianluca Chetcuti who followed closely with 67/75. The six shooters who advanced to the final round based on qualification scores were:
