A 35 year old man, named as Shaun Coppola died tragically in a motorcycle accident earlier today. The accident occurred on the Xemxija Bypass, direction North at around 12pm. Sources informed The Maltese Herald that the man lost control of his Suzuki motorbike and crashed into the barriers. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coppola appeared to be a keen biker as several photos from his personal Facebook profile show him replete in driving gear. He also appeared to be a boating enthusiast. Several tributes from friends and fellow bikers appeared on social media after the tragic accident.
