No whereabouts about brave Chinese national who made a lone protest in Tiananmen Square this year

Earlier this week, on the 2nd June, during the morning flag hoisting ceremony at Tiananmen Square, a very brave Chinese national conducted a lone protest by running towards the flagpole. Chinese security personnel quickly ran towards him and detained him.

Tiananmen Square remained empty yesterday on the 36th anniversary of the massacre that ended the student-led protests in China and extinguished hopes for political reform.

We reached out to Chinese journalist Jennifer Zeng, who shared the video of the protester on her social media pages. She told us that she has not received any updates about his whereabouts, but believes that his situation is likely not good.
