Earlier this morning, at around 7:15 am, the police were called to provide assistance at a private residence on Triq l-Antinni in Mosta.
Initial investigations revealed that a 67-year-old man had fallen from a height of approximately one storey, from the rooftop of his home.
Emergency medical responders and members of the Civil Protection Department arrived on the scene and provided immediate aid. The man was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud was notified of the incident and appointed a number of experts to assist in the magisterial inquiry. Police investigations are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the tragic accident.
