Breaking: Foreign Affairs Minister announces centre of coordination on maritime sanctions

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg has just announced the signing of a United Nations treaty to establish an international centre in Malta focused on cooperation and intelligence sharing related to maritime sanctions.

The centre has been in the pipeline since last year and was Malta’s initiative while chairing the United Nations Security Council. The centre will host various nations to coordinate its work from Malta.
