The draws for the First and Second Qualifying Rounds of the 2025/26 UEFA competitions were held on Tuesday 17 June and Wednesday 18 June at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Hamrun Spartans in UEFA Champions League
Hamrun Spartans FC, champions of the 360Sports Malta Premier League, were drawn to face Lithuanian side FK ลฝalgiris in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League.
The two-legged tie will be played on 8/9 and 15/16 July 2025. UEFA will confirm exact match dates and kick-off times by 20 June.
Should Hamrun progress, they will meet Ukrainian giants FC Dynamo Kyiv in the Second Qualifying Round. Matches are scheduled for 22/23 and 29/30 July 2025. If eliminated, Hamrun will move into the UEFA Conference League Second Qualifying Round. There,ย they will face the loser of the tie between Shelbourne FC (Ireland) and Linfield FC (Northern Ireland).
Three Maltese clubs in UEFA Conference League
Floriana FC and Birkirkara FC, based on their league finishes, will begin their UEFA Conference League campaigns in the First Qualifying Round.
Floriana have been drawn against Welsh side Haverfordwest County AFC. Birkirkara will face FC Petrocub of Moldova. These first-leg matches are set for 10 July, with return legs on 17 July 2025. UEFA will announce official kick-off times by 20 June.
Should Birkirkara advance past Petrocub, they will meet the winner between Sabah FC (Azerbaijan) and FK Celje (Slovenia) in the Second Qualifying Round.
Floriana, if successful against Haverfordwest, will then face FC Ballkani of Kosovo.

Hibernians FC enter the competition in the Second Qualifying Round by virtue of winning the Meridianbet FA Trophy. They will face the winner of the First Qualifying Round match between Spartak Trnava (Slovakia) and BK Hรคcken (Sweden).
