A number of police officers have officially taken on new roles within the Malta Police Force during a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters.
Four Inspectors – Godwin Scerri, Roderick Agius Custo, Therese Grima, and Nicholas Vella – were promoted to the rank of Police Superintendent.
Ten officers received their official certificates of appointment as Police Inspectors. Before their appointment, they completed a cadet course at the Academy for Disciplined Forces and underwent a shadowing programme with experienced Inspectors. They will now continue their training with a two-year course at the University of Malta.
Additionally, 29 individuals took the oath of appointment as Reserve Constables. These officers were either already part of the Police Force or former members of another disciplined corps. They received training at the Academy for Disciplined Forces in Ta’ Kandja.
