The Food Safety and Security Authority has issued a warning advising the public not to consume a specific batch of Fanta Orange due to high levels of the food colouring E110 (Sunset Yellow). This follows reports from the public and subsequent investigations, including laboratory testing.
The affected product is a 33cl carbonated soft drink originating from Algeria, with production date marked as F 26.12.24, best before E 25.12.25, and lot number 241226R7.
E110 is an additive regulated under EU food safety standards, and elevated levels may pose health concerns. Consumers in possession of this product are urged not to consume it.
