Property purchases keep increasing

Property purchases have kept their long-term rising trend in the last month according to the latest statistics by the National Statistics Office. The highest number of property transactions were recorded in Saint Paul’s Bay followed by Birkirkara and Mosta. The number of final registered deeds for sale stood at 1,266 during July 2025, an increase of 227 deeds compared to the same month of last year. The final deeds of sale increased by 21.8%, compared to the same month last year whereas promise of sale agreements increased by 15.6 %.

The number of property sales in Malta spiked higher in 2021 and 2022 and decreased slightly in 2023 but are still higher than 2020, 2019 and 2018 levels. Property prices have also kept increasing since then. More than 12,00 final property deeds were registered in Malta last year.
