Updated: Exclusive: Around 8000 tesserati cast their vote over two days

Updated with new figures. A total of around 5000 tesserati cast their vote in today’s early voting session across Malta and Gozo in the PN leadership election. This means that around 8000 cast their vote over two days or around 40% of total eligible voters who number 20,377.

Early voting is once again taking place today in the PN leadership election between Alex Borg and Adrian Delia. According to sources, The Maltese Herald is informed that around 3,000 tesserati cast their vote until 1pm.

A steady stream of voters were seen approaching the Dar Centrali whilst elderly and infirm were also being transported to vote. Both candidates had tents outside DC with their canvassers congregating in respective camps.

An update will be issued after voting closes at 7pm this evening and at 5pm in Gozo.
