A 54-year-old man from Ħaż-Żabbar was critically injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Bormla on Thursday evening.
Police were informed at around 8:45 p.m. of a collision on Triq San Ġwann t’Għuxa.
Initial investigations revealed that the crash involved a Honda motorcycle, driven by the 54-year-old man, and a Hyundai i30, driven by a 34-year-old man from Msida.
The motorcyclist received immediate medical assistance at the scene before being transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries and is in danger of losing his life.
Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has opened an inquiry into the case, while police investigations are still ongoing.
