A 36-year-old Italian woman residing in St Paul’s Bay was hospitalised following a traffic accident in St Julian’s on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at around 8:45 a.m. on Triq Sant’ Andrija.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman was riding a Kymco Like motorcycle when she lost control and fell, colliding with a Toyota Tercel being driven in the same direction by a 71-year-old man from San Ġwann.
A medical team provided assistance on site before the woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
