It’s the end of an era for Simon Busuttil as his term as Secretary-General of the European People’s Party comes to an end. According to The Times of Malta, Simon Busuttil has now moved to a new post in the administration of the European Parliament as Director-General for Logistics and Interpretation Conferences (DG LINC). With this move, Simon Busuttil is being seen as exiting the political arena to take on a purely administrative role.
Simon Busuttil was Malta’s Opposition Leader and Leader of the Nationalist Party from 2013 to 2017. He was appointed Secretary-General of the EPP in 2020 and has been replaced by Spanish MEP Dolors Montserrat. His friends and colleagues congratulated him on his new post.
