Motorcyclist seriously injured in late-night collision in Swieqi

A 21-year-old Libyan man residing in Swieqi was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred last night at around 10:15pm in Triq Sant’ Andrija, Swieqi.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the collision involved a Smart ForFour driven by a 20-year-old woman from Wied il-Għajn and a Honda WW125A motorcycle driven by the Libyan man.

A medical team was called to assist at the scene, and the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
