Opposition Leader Alex Borg is currently in Parliament delivering a defiant speech against the government over its theatrical attempt to portray the International Court of Arbitration’s ruling as a victory for the Maltese government in the Steward Health Care hospitals concession case. The Opposition Leader described the deal as fraudulent, citing the Maltese court judgment which also found it to be fraudulent.
Alex Borg also reminded the Prime Minister that he had said that the Maltese Court case brought to Court by Adrian Delia would strengthen Malta’s case at the International Court of Arbitration.
Shadow Minister Joe Giglio woke from his slumber and actually made a good point. Joe Giglio said that any agreement declared as legally fraudulent, does not have any legal basis. This also means that the private tribunal and kangaroo-court which the Prime Minister is so fond of actually adjudicated over a contract that is null and void.
