A 39-year-old man from Floriana was seriously injured in a traffic accident in St Paul’s Bay on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. in Triq Dawret San Pawl il-Baħar. Preliminary police investigations showed that the man, who was riding a Honda SH motorcycle, collided with a Transport Malta BMW motorbike. The Transport Malta officer was closing off part of the road to allow for the cleaning of an oil spill when the collision took place.
A medical team and ambulance were called to the scene, and the injured motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the accident are still ongoing.
