Yesterday was international men’s day. Commemorating this event, Eurostat shared this statistic that we are sharing here.
According to the latest Eurostat figures, Maltese men have the highest healthy lifespan in the EU with up to 71.7 years if their lifespan considered as healthy.
Maltese men are followed by Italian men with 68.5 years and Sweden with 67.2 years. Men are unhealthiest in Latvia, with just 51.2 healthy years, followed by Estonia at 56.5 years and Slovakia with 56.8 years.
In the EU, the number of healthy life years at birth in 2023 was 63.3ย years for women and 62.8ย years for men, aย gender gapย of 0.5ย years
