A 44-year-old woman from Żejtun was seriously injured following a traffic accident in Wied il-Għajn on Saturday morning.
The collision occurred at around 11:00 a.m. in Triq Sant’ Antnin. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the crash involved a Honda Fit driven by the woman and a BMW 118 driven by a 21-year-old man from Wied il-Għajn.
A medical team assisted the injured woman at the scene before she was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
