A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported on Friday evening in Triq San Pawl tal-Qliegħa, Mosta.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 6.15pm and immediately went to the scene, where preliminary investigations revealed that a collision had occurred between a Volvo XC40 driven by a 57-year-old man from Imtarfa and an Opel Astra driven by a 60-year-old man from San Pawl il-Baħar.
A medical team was called to assist, and both drivers were taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The 60-year-old man was later certified as having suffered serious injuries, while the other driver sustained minor injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
