Cospicua Rangers lead as Malta’s Blackball Leagues get underway

The main Blackball championships, organized by the Malta Blackball Federation, are now underway across the National, Regional, and Community Leagues.
After the initial two rounds of play, Cospicua Rangers A have established an early lead in the National League with maximum points. In their most recent fixture, they secured an 11-8 victory over Mrieħel Billiard House A. Qormi Pinto A sits in second place after defeating Hamrun 147 A 11-7.
In the Regional League Section A, a three-way tie for maximum points has emerged. San Gwann Tiki Taka Boys (11-8 win over Zebbug St Joseph A), Qormi Pinto B (11-1 win over Domus Kids Zejtun A), and Hamrun 147 C (11-9 win over Valletta Fossa Boys) all hold six points from two matches.
Regional League Section B also features joint leaders, with Birkirkara Youngsters and Hamrun 147 B both maintaining perfect records after defeating San Gwann Tiki Taka Spartans (11-4) and Siġġiewi Montekristo A (11-2) respectively. A match between PL Balzan A and Selmun Sports Club A resulted in a 10-10 draw.
Several matches were also played in the Community League, featuring comprehensive wins for PL Floriana (11-3) and Birkirkara Bocci (11-0).
